Next to Christmas, Valentine’s Day is the most celebrated day in the country. Throughout the years, it has become a special day for love and warmth where happy couples happily send romance to each other thus placing the world in full heat and delightful energy. Indeed, February is the most beautiful month of the year.

However, not all of us will be spending the night with arms around our waist and in my-left-foot-over-your-right-foot scenario. Some choose to stay single while others are still crying out the pain of broken promises. Either way, singlehood is more than a status - it is a process of finding your own happiness within you. Right?

But instead of fretting, maybe we should celebrate. This February 10, 2019, RED Sports by RED Entertainment will launch the BIGGEST, LOUDEST and FLIRTIEST gathering of all the happily single, those who are currently moving on, the “NASAKTAN” and the “NAPAASA.”

Singles’ Run is expected to be the grandest event of love month. Here is the lowdown of the exciting activities in the school fair-themed fun that will definitely relive the feeling of our first love and first heartbreak. Among these are the various booths, which will surely relive both our first “kilig” and first heartbreak.

For every hopeless romantic, Marriage Booth will be your golden opportunity to get married with someone you like in the crowd,

FREE Hugs Booth and Kissing Booth are expected to be a blockbuster hit on that day. Of course, everyone wants warm hugs and sweet kisses this love month,

Jail Booth, and Pop The Balloons Booth will bring mixed experience to all the participants.

Runners get ready as the one of the most anticipated marathons in our country is happening in 2019! 7-Eleven made the official announcement during a presscon held last December 12, 2018 at the Peri-Peri Capitol Commons. The 7-Eleven Run Series will now be on its seventh year.

The 7-Eleven Run 2019 is happening simultaneously in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on February 3, 2019, and promises to be an exciting event for both professional and recreational runners. The race was first held simultaneously in 3 locations across the country last 2018, with over 25,000 runners participating. This year promises to be even bigger, better and more exciting. Runners can expect to see new race categories, a chance to compete in an international Asian marathon, and even have the opportunity to win P500,000 cash.

The race in Luzon will be held in Filinvest City, Alabang. The Visayas leg will be held at Cebu Business Park, while the Mindanao leg will be in SM City Davao.

This year, runners will see new distances that will challenge experienced and novice runners alike. 7-Eleven is introducing the 32K category. Runners also have other options:  from a short 500 meter run for kids, a 10K buddy category, and up to a 42K full marathon.

The race in Manila and Cebu will have 10 categories that will cater to different types of runners. The categories are as follows:

500M kids
3K
5K
5K Buddy
10K
10K Buddy
16K
21K
32K
42K

The race in Davao, on the other hand, will only have 9 categories (all except 500M).

“The 7-Eleven Run Series is one of the most anticipated marathons in our country today,” said Jose Victor Paterno, President and CEO of Philippine Seven Corporation. “We listened to our runners and added new distances like the 32K which will serve as an entry point or trial run for 42K.”

As always, 7-Eleven continues to support Filipino athletes. This year, the overall top 3 Filipino winners for 21K, 32K, and 42K will be awarded cash prizes and medals, plus a chance to join an international marathon in Asia, all expenses paid. Last year, winners of the 21K and 42K races from 7-Eleven Run Series 2018 were sent to Jeju, South Korea to compete at the 23rd Jeju International Tourism Marathon Festival where they dominated the top spots in their respective race categories.

To further encourage the spirit of competition, 7-Eleven will be giving away a bonus cash prize to the top Filipino runner who can beat the Philippine record for the 42K category. The record setter will get to take home P500,000 in cash.

Run 2019 is made possible with 7-Eleven’s unique system of SELF-SELECTED WAVE STARTS. This enables the participants to choose their wave start and run with people with the same skill or speed (or with friends!).

To join, register online at http://www.run711.com/ and pay the fees at any 7-Eleven store within 48 hours. Race Kits can be claimed on the date indicated on the receipt, and from the same store where payment has been made.

Customers can also redeem free race kits from the CLiQQ Rewards Catalog when they buy participating items from sponsors. Run 2019 e-stamps can be earned when customers buy participating items worth P100 and have their CLiQQ app barcode scanned. To redeem free race kits, customers must earn 8 e-stamps for non-buddy categories and 16 e-stamps for buddy categories.  Promo runs from November 21- January 1, 2019.

Be sure to visit the official website at https://run711.com/ and follow its Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/run711 for more information about the race.

7-Eleven Run 2019 is held in partnership with Filinvest Alabang, Cebu Business Park, SM City Davao, exclusive sportswear partner, Asics, and official timer, Soleus and L Timestudio. The event is also brought to you by Selecta, Cornetto, Nature’s Spring, Summit, Gatorade, Del Monte, Pocari Sweat, Refresh, Kopiko78, San Miguel Beer, Fit n’ Right, Aquafina, Pepsi, Nova, Evian, Le Minerale, Sip, Safeguard, C2, Mogu Mogu, and Magnolia. Allianz has declared May 13 as a Day of Courage, with three events that are designed as a test of mettle and to encourage more Filipinos to live a healthy lifestyle. These three events, the PHA Heart Run Powered By Allianz together with the Philippine Heart Association (PHA) at SM By the Bay; the Allianz Conquer Challenge in Vermosa, Laguna; and the Bayanihan Walk in Singapore, will help bring out the best in the participants as they challenge not only physical limits but also to promote the value of courage.

The PHA Heart Run powered by Allianz, which will be held at the SM By The Bay area gives participants the opportunity to become Heart Warriors and bring awareness to cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) that are affecting many Filipinos today. Doctors and healthy heart advocates from the PHA will be joined by running coaches Toni and Jim Saret, in a race that will be led by heart condition survivors who will run in the 1k advocacy division in a bid to shine a light on the prevention and primary care of CVDs. Allianz PNB Life President Olaf Kliesow reiterates the need for Filipino families’ to monitor their health conditions and be wary of increasing medical expenses, especially for a great majority whose savings and insurance protection levels are very much wanting.

To make the fun run more exciting, Allianz will be giving out P100,000 worth of personal accident life insurance to all participants, and two lucky 21k and 10K participants will win all-expense paid trips to Thailand, to join the Allianz Ayudhaya World Run!

Those who want to level up their game may register at the Allianz Conquer Challenge, an obstacle course race that tests speed, endurance and strategy. The race is made even more special with the participation of Jamil Faisal Saro Adiong, a recipient of the Sultan Kudarat Award for Peace and Community Development. Marawi City, his home province of Lanao del Sur, was besieged with a very big challenge last year, as it was still reeling from the effects of a tropical storm, it was also battered by a war. Jamil is one of the local heroes who was involved in Marawi’s rehabilitation efforts.

“I am offering my participation in the race to all my fellow Maranaos, in the hope that we may all triumph in our aspirations with mutual respect through harmonious relationships and inclusive economic development as we rise stringer and more resilient than before,” he shares. Joining the obstacle course race is a testament to his own journey and a call to all Filipinos to embrace peace and tolerance amidst diversity. As with the PHA Heart Run, Allianz will be giving out P100,000 worth of personal accident life insurance to all participants of the challenging course race that has divisions for kids, beginners, and pros.

To further amplify their message to dare to take on life’s challenges because Allianz is there to support your family and your life’s dreams, Filipinos in Singapore are invited to join the Allianz PNB Life and Philippine Embassy–supported Bayanihan Walk, which will take place at the Labrador Park. The 3.88km fun walk aims to raise funds to support the Philippine Bayanihan Society Singapore’s charity works and for the maintenance of the Bayanihan Centre.

Rei Abrazaldo, Allianz PNB Life Brand Communications and Digital Director, shares that the company’s mission is to empower Filipinos to face new experiences and daily challenges with courage. “We enable every Filipino the courage to live a healthy lifestyle as embodied in our collaboration with the Philippine Heart Association in the upcoming PHA Heart Run Powered by Allianz.  We inspire Filipinos the courage to overcome obstacles as exemplified in our partnership with Conquer Challenge Philippines in the approaching Allianz Conquer Challenge Race, and we empower Filipinos overseas to have the courage to be there for each other in our alliance with the Philippine Bayanihan Society,” Abrazaldo explains.

He further emphasizes that at Allianz they believe that life would be better if people had more courage than fear. “There is no better time to agree that we need more courage, to experience that there is more to life than what we were thought of to just be content and not aspire for something better,” he adds.

Allianz is the Filipinos’ partner in finding that courage, he says. “Our customers and prospects want to have an insurance which supports them, backs them up, which helps them to live their life to the fullest – and does not scare them or stop them from doing what they want to do. Each one of us has the capacity and the capability to explore life. With the coverage that we provide our clients, they do not need to be alone in exploring life.”
