Dr. Carlisle Cullen is Forbes Richest Fictional Character

Perfectly handsome. Check. Immortal. Check. Richest Vampire. Double Check.

With an estimated net worth of $36.2 billion, Edward Cullen father's, the 370-year old and small town Forks immortal doctor, Carlisle Cullen, topped the fictional human character of Forbes Fictional 15. He's no. 2 on the list, next to Scrooge McDuck, a cartoon character.

Forbes' magazine has profiled Dr. Cullen as an Immortal vampire, small town doctor and value investor said to be a huge fan of getrichslowly.org, a penny-pinching personal finance blog that extols the extraordinary power of compound interest. It's worked for Cullen: The fresh-faced 370-year-old undead monster amassed one of the largest fictional fortunes largely simply by banking a small amount of capital in 1670, and letting the interest accrue. Early investor in Wal-Mart, Google thanks to prescient advice from adoptive daughter Alice, who can see into the future. Featured in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight novels and films

So how do Forbes Fictional 15 works?

The members of our 2011 list of wealthiest fictional characters have an average net worth of $9.7 billion, up 20% from last year. In aggregate, the Fictional 15 are worth $131.6 billion –more than the gross domestic product of New Zealand. To qualify for the Fictional 15, characters must be known, both within their fictional universe and by their audience, for being rich. Net worth estimates are based on an analysis of the fictional character’s source material, and where possible, valued against known real-world commodity and share price movements.

Wow, it isn't enough that we are completely boggled by the idea that there are few individuals who are rich beyond our imagination and now this? But hooray for Dr. Cullen!
