As a fan of crime procedural drama for many years now, its very seldom that you can get me hook on a drama by just watching the first episode. But this new American drama series The InBetween did that with its crime meets paranormal premise, a suspense and yet a thrilling experience.

Justice can be painfully slow in a cold-case murder, but what if the victim can reach out from beyond the grave? In the upcoming crime series, The InBetween, airing on Blue Ant Entertainment this May 31, the unhappy dead provide clues to help unravel the mystery of their demise and even help solve the most challenging cases through supernatural means.

Cassie Bedford (Harriet Dyer) was born with a rare gift—or curse—that allows her to see ghastly visions and communicate with the dead. With her “sixth sense,” she often contends with restless spirits seeking help in resolving their untimely deaths.

The dead aren’t the only ones that appear at her door for assistance, however. Detective Tom Hacket (Paul Blackthorne), and his new partner, former FBI Agent Justin Cornwell (Damien Asante), race against time to solve some of Seattle’s worst felonies. And when the tracks run cold, the two sleuths turn to Cassie. Will she hesitate to use her abilities, or will she risk her own sanity to crack the city’s darkest cases?

Catch The InBetween every Friday, 10:35PM, starting May 31, express from the U.S., on Blue Ant Entertainment, available on SKYcable channels 53 (SD) and 196 (HD), SKYdirect channel 35, Cignal channel 120, and Cablelink channel 37.

Bringing the series closer to viewers, Blue Ant Entertainment has partnered with Breakout Philippines for a puzzle game that will run from May 30 to June 19, 2019, at the Shangri-La Plaza Mall. Unlock the secrets of Missing: An Escape Room Based on the TV Show The InBetween in a one-of-a-kind suspense that will let the most daring teams experience the show’s paranormal, crime-solving thrills in the flesh. The first 100 participants to break out within the time limit will take home a special prize from Blue Ant Entertainment.

After a remarkable 12-season, 279-episode run, The Big Bang Theory is finally coming to an end. We know, it’s emotional. The show will sign off as the longest-running multi-camera series in television history with a one-hour series finale on Friday, May 17, at 7:45pm – only on Warner TV.

The show has given us countless laughs for more than a decade. Sheldon, Leonard, Raj, Howard, and our favorite leading ladies – Penny, Amy and Bernadette – have always been the ultimate #squadgoals even before the word became popular. Not only has the show given us a good laugh, but it’s also given us loads of life lessons to remember.

Before the beginning of the end, a #BigBangThrowback of unforgettable lessons that made us love the show is definitely in order:

10 unforgettable life lessons that made us fall in love with
The Big Bang Theory

1. Speak your mind
Sheldon’s “honesty” may come sometimes across as offensive, but being straightforward definitely saves time - especially when it comes to relationships.

2. Being smart is in
The nerdy debates over subatomic particles and equations made science appealing to the younger generations. Smart is the new sexy, right? Ask Penny, Bernadette and Amy!

3. True friends awkward dance with you
Whether it’s off-key singing or awkward dancing, they’ll join and celebrate with you and your accomplishments.

Source

4. Nobody’s perfect

If Sheldon Copper can admit that he was wrong, then you’ve got no excuse not to be humble.

Source
5. You can be who you want to be
Just ask Sheldon. Bazinga!

6. Put yourself out there
If you want to be successful, you’ve got to put yourself out there and just do it.

Source
7. You are never too old for anything
Adulting is hard and making decisions is even harder. But when life gets too stressful, take a step back and do what your inner child tells you --- swim in a pit of colorful balls and play rock-paper-scissors-lizard-spock!

Source
8. Stop overthinking
Too much overthinking will lead to panic attacks, just ask Leonard. If it’s not rocket science or string theory then it’s not worth overthinking about.

Source
9. Get out of your comfort zone
You never know what you might discover about yourself when you try new things.

Source
10. Any kitty is a good kitty
“Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty, Little Ball of Fur…”
Even if you’re not a cat person, the thought of a soft, warm, little ball of fur is surprisingly calming.

Most people travel for leisure, picking the best spots for shopping or lounging on a beach but some people want more action. This October, action entertainment channel KIX premieres the brand-new reality series Extreme Ends, to give audiences a glimpse of extreme opposite sides of the vibrant city, Hong Kong.

Featuring four celebrities from four Southeast Asian countries, popular actor and swimmer Enchong Dee represents the Philippines, taking on this adventure with his good celebrity friend, Ria Atayde. These two friends are adventurous travellers well-suited to the exciting contrasts selected for Extreme Ends, where each episode features a different celebrity and their special guests facing a different 'extreme' theme such as Day & Night and High & Low.  In this way, viewers will see Hong Kong in a new light as each episode highlights extreme opposites to showcase the fascinating contrasts, non-stop intensity and distinctively trendy attributes of Hong Kong.

“We’re very pleased to be working with Hong Kong Tourism Board once more, and excited to give audiences a different perspective, showing them the contrasts and duality of Hong Kong. With each of the celebrities and their guests going through specially-selected activities, viewers also get to see a different side of their personality, revealing the relationships they share - this is a wonderful formula that invites viewers to travel with them on every adventure,” said Betty Tsui, Vice President, Programming – KIX and Thrill, Celestial Tiger Entertainment.

“We are glad to partner Celestial Tiger Entertainment again, given the success of The Ultimate BROcation. Hong Kong remains as Southeast Asians’ destination of choice for its diversified dining options, shopping experiences, nightlife and events; as well as thrilling adventures overseeing breathtaking natural sceneries. The celebrities from the different Southeast Asian countries in the series will definitely bring new insights and inspire the audience to create their very own authentic experiences when they visit Hong Kong, and discover Hong Kong like a local,” said Raymond Chan, Regional Director, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong Tourism Board.

Sharing his experience, Enchong said, “I was not expecting KIX’s Extreme Ends to take me on such an experience. Starring in this adventure reality show really gave me a chance to try new and exciting things. From playing my first virtual reality game to zip lining in Hong Kong, it really blew my expectations away. Going on this adventure with Ria and hearing about her own experiences after was amazing. We did end up comparing whose trip was better though. Naturally it was mine!”

The Power of Three is summoned back to television screens with the all-new Charmed on Blue Ant Entertainment. But while it still has all the witchy elements that held viewers spellbound to the show’s previous incarnation, the up-and-coming series reveals a few new things that are sure to enchant audiences all over again. Here are just some of them:

Fresh Faces against Evil

The show’s reboot introduces three new sisters fated to vanquish demonic forces through magic. Social justice warrior Melanie “Mel” Vera (Melonie Diaz) and her younger sister, the fun-loving Maggie (Sarah Jeffery) live together before meeting their long-lost older half-sister, Macy (Madeleine Mantock), who was kept a secret by their single mom for many years.

Mel is a graduate student at the women’s studies department headed by her mom at Hilltowne University, while Maggie is a freshman looking to join a sorority—much to her sister’s dismay. Macy, on the other hand, happens to be a brilliant geneticist. The reimagined series brings the Charmed Ones together after a mysterious incident at home leaves their mother dead.

New Magical Awakenings

At the wake of their mother’s unexplainable demise, the sisters begin exhibiting strange supernatural abilities. Mel, the second of the three, can suddenly freeze time, while the youngest, Maggie, freaks out when she starts hearing the thoughts of anyone she comes in contact with. Macy, too, is left baffled after somehow throwing and breaking an object with just her mind. The sisters learn later on that their magical abilities grow by tenfold when they join together to invoke the Power of Three.

Darker Twist to Sisterhood

Women empowerment takes a more sinister turn in the new Charmed when Mel and Maggie receive a text from their mom to rush back home—only to discover her lifeless body at the bottom of a broken attic window. The sisters are distraught, but Mel becomes consumed by it and starts shutting Maggie out. What’s more, Macy appears out of nowhere claiming to be their sister, and also gets shut out.

As their latent powers begin to unravel and demons start appearing at their doorstep, the Vera sisters soon realize that to uncover the truth behind their mother’s death, they must accept their destiny and act as one.

Will the Charmed Ones learn to find strength not just in their differences but also in the bond of their sisterhood? Charmed premieres on October 16, Tuesday, at 9:45PM (8:45PM JKT/BKK) on Blue Ant Entertainment.

After that cliff-hanger season 2 finale where our brash and brilliant Dr. Jason Bull (Michael Weatherly) suffered a massive heart attack, but still managed to call 911, he’s back alive and also looking like a whole new man as he goes straight back to work and ready for another bout of courtroom voir dire in the third season of Bull on Blue Ant Entertainment.

Towards the end of the last season, Dr. Bull fell into a downward spiral—drinking, overeating, missing out on sleep, and occasionally throwing out tantrums that would sour the confidence of the Trial Analysis Corporation team.

The new season, however, opens with a sleeker-looking man, without the unkempt hair, unshaven face, and the pounds around his waist and under his chin—signs of change from someone who only thinks about himself. Unfortunately, he returns to work facing a rather rich client, an insurance company being sued by a dying mother who was denied coverage for a liver transplant. Will the snarky Dr. Bull manage to choose the right thing not just for himself but also for his team?

It’s a decision that could make or break his return after almost losing the team’s confidence in the previous season due to his self-destructive decisions, especially when he found out that his ex-wife was remarrying. TAC’s second-in-command Marissa Morgan (Geneva Carr) couldn’t help but confront him: “I think you’re an amazing person, Jason, but I am tired of worrying about you, pitying you. I want to admire you again.”

He then tried patching things up—by taking on a risky death penalty case involving a mute man accused of rape, murder, and arson. The team didn’t share his enthusiasm and thought that he was being too impulsive when he took the case. No matter what they said, he trusted his guts—the way he had always done to do what was right for his team and clients.

Dr. Bull stood by his instincts and persuaded the team that there was hope not only for the case, but also for him to make things right again. In the end, they managed to uncover the tracks of the real perpetrator and prove their client’s innocence— not without a heavy toll on him that left viewers with bated breath.

Now Bull is back and in much better health—and more importantly, with more sensitive feelings. Could it be because he came face to face with his mortality? The entire TAC team is certainly happy seeing their boss back in business, but whether he’s become a changed man is another story.

Viewers will have to wait and see if Dr. Bull returns with a kinder disposition when he is enlisted by a big insurance company for a controversial case. The new season also puts the trial science expert Dr. Bull in the jury seat, serving his civic duty while working on a case to defend a woman accused of killing her daughter’s murderer in the next case.

Catch the two-episode premiere of Bull Season 3 on October 12, Friday at 9:45PM (8:45PM JKT/BKK) on Blue Ant Entertainment.

We all have that one datable colleague who seems to be the perfect match to that single, lovelorn friend from college. Playing the matchmaker sounds like harmless fun, but setting them up without knowing what they want in a partner, or whether they have anything in common, might just put them in an awkward situation that you unwittingly helped make.

Without practice and experience, you might end up with more misses than hits that could have terrible consequences on your friendships. It would help to pick up a few tips from the pros, like maître d’ Fred Sirieix and his crew on Blue Ant Entertainment’s British reality show First Dates. Not only do they give romantic hopefuls a chance at love over cocktails and dinner, they also pair people based on their personality and what they’re looking for in a partner.

So don’t let the excitement of romance get ahead of you. Before letting loose Cupid’s proverbial arrows, there are a few basic things to keep in mind that will up your chances of successfully matching singletons in your circles, or at least convince them to go on a date without risking your friendships with them. Here are three of them:

Are they interested?

You might think it’s sweet to set single friends up behind their backs. NEWSFLASH: Not all singles are unhappy being single! They may not even be ready to date, so your “sweet gesture” might just turn against you. If you think two of your friends might work out as a couple, best to ask them first if they’re interested in dating.

No two singles are alike

Singlehood won’t automatically match two people. Find out what your single friends are after in a date, like personality, hobbies, or career, so you know who among them are compatible. Be detailed. Don’t just tell them you know someone who looks great and is looking for a relationship. Still, be ready with a few pictures—with consent, of course.

Movie vs. coffee date

You wouldn’t want the first date in the movies where your potential lovebirds will end up glued to the big screen and not talking to each other. Encourage conversation by having them meet in a cozy café or a hip but family-friendly restaurant. Just avoid locations that are too “off the beaten path” so they don’t feel trapped or forced into a romantic situation.

Want more tips on matchmaking? Catch First Dates Mondays to Wednesdays at 8:50PM (7:50PM JKT/BKK), first and exclusive on Blue Ant Entertainment. Blue Ant Entertainment is available on SKYcable channels 53 (SD) and 196 (HD), SKYdirect channel 35, Destiny Cable channel 53, and Cablelink channels 37 (SD) and 313 (HD).

The marine world continues to be a source of folklore given that a whopping 95 percent of the planet’s oceans remain unexplored, according to the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Unsurprisingly then, many creatures living beneath the waves have inspired monstrous fantasies, from the kraken mentioned in Herman Melville’s 1851 novel Moby-Dick, to the Leviathan of biblical scripture.

The most famous of these aquatic myths is the mermaid, thanks to stories such as Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Mermaid made famous by the animated film of the same name, as well as other pop cultural gems such as the 1984 movie Splash. These half-fish, half-human hybrids, unfortunately, weren’t always the demure creatures often depicted in today’s fiction.

In British folklore, mermaids were associated with doomed ships and stormy seas, which was why seafarers in the past avoided sailing in areas where they thought they saw these creatures. The English pirate Blackbeard once recorded an encounter in his logbook, which described how he and his crew had sighted these demi-humans in so-called “enchanted” waters.

While not fearsome-looking, mermaids might have conjured fear from sailors because of their association with another mythical beast, the siren. In Homer’s The Odyssey, sirens were winged women that sang hypnotic songs to lure sailors to their deaths. Over time, these attributes were passed down to mermaids, becoming part of their threat as much as their charm.

Speaking of charm, not all sailors believed mermaids were pretty. One of them was Christopher Columbus. The Italian explorer claimed to have witnessed these creatures while exploring the Caribbean and described them to be half as beautiful as the ones in paintings. That might have sounded mean, but only because what he and sailors at the time had been seeing were the gentle manatee or its cousin, the dugong. Both possess broad, mermaid-like tails as well as upper-body features that make these marine mammals easily mistaken for lumbering humanoids from afar—not quite the slender merfolk of fantasy.

The enchanting mermaid remains in our imagination reflecting our innate fear and desire for the unknown. In the American drama series Siren, this fear and desire come to life when mermaids suddenly surface to cause chaos in the fictional coastal town of Bristol Cove. Ever wondered how the world would react today if folklore turned out to be real? Catch the popular American drama series Siren every Monday at 9:45PM first and exclusive on Blue Ant Entertainment.

Other than mermaids, many popular nautical beasts also have their origins in real animals. One is the mighty kraken, which may have been based on sightings of the giant squid or the much larger colossal squid—both of which have been caught in video when they suddenly appeared off the coast of Japan and Antarctica, respectively. Another is the slithering sea serpent. Whether it’s the World Serpent of Norse mythology or the Ancient Greek monster Cetus, these creatures may have been inspired by sightings of the largest bony fish alive today, the oarfish.

Blue Ant Entertainment is available on SKYcable channels 53 (SD) and 196 (HD), SKYdirect channel 35, Destiny Cable channel 53, and Cablelink channels 37 (SD) and 313 (HD).
