Sun Life Digital Sun Shorts Reflects Life Realities
Life
sometimes doesn’t turn out the way we want it to be. They say it’s the reality
of life. Some easily accept this fact while some do not and it is this
acceptance that made us prepare for whatever it is in our future.
When
my father started getting sick, I noticed that he and my mother doesn’t seem to
think much of the hospital bills unlike some of the people I know who took out
all their resources just to pay their bills. I heard my mother always some not
too worry because the bill is covered by insurance and that my father’s company
will take care of it. At that early age I already know the value of insurance.
Insurance protects. Later in life and when my father died, the monthly
saving he put just for the insurance also helps in the long run. He did not leave
us penniless and in debt when he died, he left us something and that’s when I
realized that Insurance is an Investment. Even after he died, he wants us to
be protected.
This
is the kind of freedom that I want – financial freedom. Many may accuse millennial
of living only for the moment but the truth is we are aware that in the long
run we are really preparing for the future. With lots of financial offers
around especially by the wide range of financial products that is being offered
by Sun Life Philippines, we have the freedom to choose to reach our dreams and
be prepared for the future.
In
line with this thinking and to inspire Filipinos in pursuing their financial freedom, Sun Life recently launched a
new collection of its digital films dubbed Sun Shorts highlighting the
relationships that make lives #BrighterTogether.
At
the official launch held at the Rizal Ballroom of Makati Shangrila last June 7,
2017, Sun Life Chief Marketing Officer Mylene Lopa explained what Sun Shorts is
all about, “The people we love give us the courage to dream big and the
strength to keep going even if sometimes it feels like the odds are against us.
Truly, we are brighter together.” She added, “Sun Life shines a spotlight on
these relationships to inspire every Filipino to keep chasing their dreams.”
Now
on its fourth year and in celebration of June as the Financial Independent Month,
Sun Life presents the new Sun Shorts films which is the 'Waves,' 'She Said, She
Said' and 'Sayaw.' The three present stories inspired by the stories of Sun
Life clients.
The
three short films I watched echoed the sentiment of Sun Life people who through
this Sun Shorts hopes that they can show to the Filipinos how life insurance
can help them ease their life's burdens and celebrate their lives' triumphs
giving them the opportunity to show the people they love their commitment to a
brighter future for them.
Below
is one of the Sun Shorts films which made an impact for me because it made me
realize how short time is and that we should live and love well.
