Rizal Homegrown Fashion Designers Dresses Barbie in Wedding Gowns
Most girls I know have played and owned Barbie dolls. This iconic doll, which by the way is celebrating its 60th year this 2019, is the central character once again as SM City Taytay together with Richprime Global lnc., Mattel, Toy Kingdom, and the Association of Tourism Officers of Rizal presented Barbie in the East: Wedding Edition.
Now on its second year, this highly anticipated event will see Barbie dressed in the most exquisite gown you can imagine as designed by the province of Rizal's homegrown fashion designers. We all know how very artistic and creative Rizalenos are when it comes to arts and fashion activities. This event is also in part of the celebration of the 118th Araw ng Lalawigan ng Rizal happening this June 11, 2019, a day before the celebration of our country's Independence Day.
Thirteen towns and one City of Rizal participated in this fashion endeavor where the Barbie dolls, before the exhibit, were photographed in beautiful historical churches of each of these towns and city symbolizing the Filipino heritage --- a strong and significant part of each town's tourism values.
