Allegro Hosts The 13th Philippine Grand Barista Cup 2019 Celebrating The Coffee Industry’s Success
Allegro Beverage Corporation, the “most preferred coffee solutions” in the country hosted The 13th Philippine Grand Barista Cup 2019 last September 13 at the World Trade Center. It was a huge success as baristas and coffee connoisseurs from different parts of the country gathered to witness a one of a kind coffee making competition.
The country’s most anticipated and longest barista competition presented the 6 barista finalists who went on to do a Milk Lab Challenge where they created 3 different drinks (espresso, cappuccino and their own concocted drink) for the judges using Milk Lab.
All throughout the competition, exceptional creativity and skills were showcased by the barista finalists before the judges who are industry experts in this field of competition. Among those are local and international coffee champions Mr. Marco Poidamani, Mr. Fabian Fredriksson, Mr. Tristan Destura and Mr. Fernando Menendez, Mr. Sherwin Balasan and Mr. Ernie Mesina.
Finally, after a long deliberation, the judges chose the following coffee makers with their exceptional skills:
2nd Runner up - Karl Zouriel Lat, independent competitor from Makati
1st Runner up - John Richard Co of Chapter Coffee Roastery and Café
Grand Winner - JC Landicho of Magnum Opus
