Things to get excited about Dusit D2 The Fort Full Operation

by - October 27, 2019

My bucket list #63 is to live in a hotel for a year. I’ve stayed in some of the best hotels in the country and in some countries as well as part of my work and this has given me an idea of someday living in a hotel for a year or maybe calling it home. Or maybe I just love the idea of it because of my favorite film The Great Gatsby.

In the past two years, the Metro has seen the rise of many hotels and those who love staycation can’t help but be excited about this recent development. Among the highly anticipated full operational opening is that of Dusit D2 The Fort, Manila.

Located at the center of the bustling business and commercial hub of Bonifacio Global City, Dusit D2 The Fort promises to be a chic urban destination with modern lifestyle amenities and an enriched city retreat.

What sets it apart from the other hotel is that the 125-room Dusit D2 hotel will also house the Dusit Hospitality Management College (DHMC), an integrated school for hoteliers, and the 108-unit D2 serviced residences.

Dusit is known for its gracious hospitality and Dusit D2 The Fort Manila reinforces this image as the hotel will be an artful blend of rich heritage with state-of-the-art facilities.

Weeks ago, I have the opportunity to see the hotel and school side of dusitd2 and here are the things I love the most and why we should be excited about its full operation.

Dusit Hospitality Management College (DHMC)

Nowadays hospitality courses are in high demand in the Philippines. Future hoteliers will be glad that a college like this is easily available for them. As I look around the DHMC, I wish I could also study here.

The DHMC will focus on the management and the culinary side of it. During the presscon that was held last October3, 2019, Dusit d2 officials said that DHMC will be the best in the hospitality industry since it will be the most advanced in Southeast Asia. It will partner with École Hôtelière de Lausanne for the hotel and management courses and Institut Paul Bocuse for the culinary side.

DHMC will occupy nine floors of the building and what is more amazing is that the college will have a comprehensive list of facilities enough to train future hoteliers. My favorite part of the school is the wine science lab for sommelier courses.

Deli and Fine Dining

Have you tried the fine dining concept of Dusit such as breakfast or dinner?
At Dusit d2 you get to eat at the Tapz, D’Origine, and Vittoria among others where you can enjoy the deli and coffee or have breakfast like this.

Communal Food Court

Did you know that at Dusit D2 The Fort, you can try cuisines from around the world with its communal food court? This is just another option to eat inside the hotel as anybody in the hotel whether you’re students, instructor, staff or hotel guest.

The Best Part: Dusit D2 the Fort Manila Accommodation

As a place away from home, hotel accommodation should be tastefully appointed and done with contemporary interiors and lifestyle amenities. Dusit D2 offers 125 rooms with its D’Luxe and D'Suite choices.

Its D’Luxe rooms is a tastefully fitted urban sanctuary and is available with either one king or two twin beds. It is an ideal 30 sq. meter setting for vibrant, modern-minimalist living which features a comfortable seating area, bath facilities, and amenities. It has a wireless internet connection and minibar.

The D'Suite room is a spacious, well-appointed haven spanning 86sqm which showcases a quiet luxury amidst the bustling metropolis. It presents a stylish living area, modern entertainment system, wireless internet connection and bedroom with walk-in closet and en suite bathroom featuring a 360-degree shower and bathtub.

Whether you’re at Dusit D2 for a well-deserved staycation or you’re an active business and leisure traveler, you’ll be glad to see that the hotel is located within close proximity to shopping outlets and various places of interest for an enriched city retreat.
