Light Rail Manila Corporation formally rolls out its Tap2Pay campaign adding more merchants for its beep™ loading and payments services
Since 1984, LRT-1 has provided millions of Filipinos convenient commuting experience and over the years it continues to enhance its services. Under the private operator Light Rail Manila Corporation, aside from new train cars that will arrive soon, they are now advocating a fairly cash-free life, on public transport by rolling out its Tap2Pay campaign by adding more LRT-1 merchants as new channels for beep™ loading and payments services.
Now you can enjoy tapping your beep™ with your favorite Master Siomai, the pilot merchant in this campaign and now the following merchants like Mister Donut, Yumpanada, Waffle Haus, Turks, Eng Bee Tin, Siomai House, Just Squeezed, Potato Corner, and Waffle Time and even The Generics Pharmacy is also participating. Its fun that you can choose from a variety of products that include siomai, empanada, doughnut, waffle, shawarma, siopao, hopia, pastry, fried noodles, fries, Korean food, refreshers, and medicines. And yes, all these can be purchased with your beep™ card. So, how do this work?
LRT-1 merchants are provided with a portable Standalone Payment and Loading Device allowing them to process loading of beep™ cards and payment transactions without the need for any integration with a Point of Sale (POS) or any external processing system.
Furthermore, more convenience and choices for beep™ passengers as more channels to reload cards is also available. Passengers may top up their beep™ cards with any load denomination without convenience fee versus other beep™ loading partners.
