Tea Time at TWG Tea Salon and Botique

by - April 20, 2015

The weather is steamy and hot and a good cuppa seems like a good idea to freshen up this day. So my cousin and I headed to Rockwell and have our very own Chic tea party.

I always pass by this salon but kind of shy to have my tea alone. The place is such a nice spot to meet friends for tea, it was very spacious and lovely. And the ambiance is such that you feel like you're having your tea in a European place.

As i look over the menu, I didn't know that their tea menu is so extensive and a bit overwhelming. But we decided to try the Royal Moroccan tea. When they serve the tea, i was caught up by the smell coming from it. It was like a magical infusion, lulling you to sleep and think about those grand palace.  This tea boasts one of the finest green teas and an exceptional blend of wild mints. With rare resins  fresh notes of the world’s rarest elixirs – ambry myrrh, musk, and precious calambac, according to the description. No wonder it was such a heavenly smell and sip.

The Chic Tea Time set with Imperial Sandwich is simply good enough for two. Muffins and scones served with jelly and whipped cream is so good and the scones are piping hot. The mini/finger sandwiches, well not really that mini, comes in chicken with Cream Cheese infused with Comptoir des Indies, Cucumber with Cream Cheese infused with Earl Grey Fortune, and then there's the Foie Gras.

This is like the thickest spread of a Foie Gras i have ever seen, almost half an inch and those yellow are duck fats. Sadly its the only sandwich in the set we didn't like. I always spread foie gras on crackers or mini french baguette.

Overall, we enjoyed our tea and we are going back to try another menu.
