HIPA Exhibition at SM Aura Premier

by - June 16, 2015

I love going to art galleries, museum and photograph exhibition. Last May 27, we were invited to the opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of The Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) Exhibit at the SM Aura Premier. The exhibit showcased the winning and short listed images of their recently concluded season "Life in Colour".

The free exhibition is part of HIPA's commitment to support and encourage culture and art and turning the world into a hub of creativity. Their Philippines' visit was part of the agenda as His Excellency, HIPA Secretary General Ali Bin Thalit believes that Filipinos are one of the most talented photographers in the world, as proven by the inclusion of two Pinoy in the last season HIPA of Jaime Singlador and Xyra dela Cruz Bacani.

This year, they will launch its fifth season with the theme Happiness with Wildlife, Father and Son, and General making up the rest of the categories.

HIPA was established in 2011 by His Highness Sheikh Hamden bin Mohammed bin Rashid, the Crown Prince of Dubai. It is open to photographers around the world and it has the biggest Grand Prize award in the world of Photography with its $120,000 cash prize.

These are the photos that caught my attention during the exhibit. And i love every one of them:
