MTECH 2015: MERALCO Visioneering Technological Innovation for Better Customer Service

Imagine a near distant future where you live in a fully automated home and everything is just connected with your mobile. It's not even a near distant future, as Meralco pushes for technological innovation or innovative solutions in the power industry for better customer service. What is disruptive innovation/technology you might ask.
  1. disruptive innovation is an innovation that helps create a new market and value network, and eventually disrupts an existing market and value network (over a few years or decades), displacing an earlier technology.
The summit featured innovations that will change the power industry. It is a "visioneering", focusing on the creation of a future that opens new opportunities for innovative solutions to increase consumer interaction, build consumer empowerment, improve energy efficiency, integrate renewable and distributed resources, expand opportunities for electric transformation while ensuring affordable sustainable and reliable energy.

Meralco Chairman Manuel V.  Pangilinan, MVP himself, gave the welcoming remarks. afterwards followed a series of talk, rivaling that of Facebook or Apple conference, as multi-media highlighted the presentation given by Meralco Chief Technology Adviser Gavin Barfield, Meralco President and CEO Oscar S. Reyes, Meralco SVP and Head Customer Retail Services  Corporate Communications Alfredo S. Panlilio.
