Marry Me at Marriott: World Class Filipino Designers Holds Grand Bridal Show at Marriott Grand Ballroom
In what may
become a tradition of holding grand bridal show and showcasing events for
luxury weddings, the Philippines' largest grand ballroom Marriott Manila presented Marry Me at Marriott featuring world class Filipino
designers the likes of Frederick Peralta, Rajo Laurel, JC Buendia, Rhett
Eala, Randy Ortiz, and Jun Escario.
Who wouldn't want to be married in gowns made by
these renowned designers in a place which boasts of 3,000 square meter grand
ballroom which can accommodate 2500 persons for a wedding?
And then the Skyfold technology partitions of the ballroom started
moving up and we were dazzled by the stage made possible by the purveyor of
creativity Robby Carmona. The state of the art lighting technology fully
illuminated the ballroom that night.
Marriott Manila General Manager Bruce Winton welcomed the guest and prided itself of the great collaboration between Marriott Manila and the Philippines world class designers.

It was my first time to attend
a grand fashion show and I was a bit overwhelmed and excited as well. We were
seated so near the catwalk and I felt like Victoria Beckham on a Fashion Week.
It was so nice to see the works
of Frederick Peralta, Rajo Laurel, JC Buendia, Rhett Eala, Randy Ortiz,
and Jun Escario up close. I only get to see them on fashion magazine. Most of
my favorite gowns were those of Rajo Laurel and Frederick Peralta. I love
wedding gowns with long trains and capes.
Rajo Laurel
dreamy disposition is evident on the wedding gowns he showcased that night.
Long trains and capes highlighted his collections. Rajo Laurel loves the drama
of a full on cape and to quote him as to why, he says, "In a way
marriage is like taking flight".
Jodilly Pedre, contestant in the second cycle of Asia's Next Top Model were home this time to wear this favorite gown of mine by Rajo Laurel.
Celebrity Alex Gonzaga wore this Classical wedding gown made by the House of Laurel. Practicing for now while waiting for Prince Charming. After all, its not good to be married this year Alex, remember, Sukob.
And would you like to be married wearing pants? A different concept but if it looks like this, why not?
I so love this. I'm naming it The Caped One Wedding Gown.
The gowns
made by Frederick Peralta are very
interesting. The concept of a red wedding gown is not that odd because in
Greece red wedding gown is not an oddity.

What a wonderful night it was. I was fascinated with the big diorama presented on the stage. The behind the veil format with the translucent fabric added to the magical evening. The choice of playlist is excellent and perfectly set the background of a grand and dreamy wedding.
Thank you Marriott Manila with special mention to Mr. Jaron Nepomuceno and Ms. Aimee Lagman for the invite.
