Meranti Hotel is the New Haven in the Heart of Quezon City Lifestyle District
Hotels in the metro seemed to converge mostly in places
where traffic and people are congested. But did you know that there’s one place
in the heart of Quezon City where you can find a haven after a long tiring week
or day and just cocooned yourself inside its warm interior. It’s the new
Meranti Hotel.
Located strategically in the heart of Quezon City lifestyle
district, it is beside the first ever Max’s Restaurant, now considered a
heritage branch.
Meranti Hotel just had their soft opening. It is one
of the growing loved brands of Max’s Group Inc which is quite known in
providing genuine Filipino hospitality especially with its Max’s Restaurant.
The lobby is really quite amazing with its Filipino
designed furniture where Kenneth Cobonpue chairs, meshed lamps and chandeliers
literally makes up the lobby. Beside the lobby is the Meranti Café by Maple
where comfort food is served and I’ve seen the cakes lining up the buffet area,
it’s so very tempting.
The staff warmly welcomed us and you can feel how very
courteous and welcoming they are as they gave us a preview of their rooms.
Meranti Hotel have 1 bedroom suite, 4 deluxe rooms, 2 connecting rooms and 54
standard rooms which is thoughtfully designed with high ceilings.
The rooms we previewed are their standard rooms and deluxe
rooms with connecting doors. What I love about each room is their beds, it is
high enough to my liking and said to be a top of the line European memory foam
pocked spring bed. If two people sat on them the other won’t leaned towards the
other and that’s the sign of being a good bed. What more, each beds is covered
in 400 counts thread counts Egyptian cotton which feels soft and cool enough to
touch.
The hospitality TV in each room is a smart TV that allows
you to connect to WiFi, check your Facebook, watch Youtube and watch local
cable channels.
The room bathroom is filled with personalized toiletries and it’s not in the usual hotel standard sizes.
Then we have our dinner at their penthouse where the pool
is also located. And behold, the penthouse makes you feel you’re in top f the
world and you can see the surrounding area. Meranti penthouse offers a perfect
view of the city skyline and breathtaking sunset view.
It was the eve of Chinese New Year and as we ate our
dinner, we can see fireworks from afar.
During dinner we were served a delicious meal of salads, Salmon Catch with Orzo Pasta among others.
I feel that the penthouse would still be cool even
during the summer because there are no large buildings in the surrounding area
of the hotel that will prevent the free flow of air.
I was told that dinner services at the penthouse are
provided with a band or singers that will serenade you as you enjoy the delicious
foods included in the meal.
Next time, I will have a staycation at Meranti and bring my
family and close friends with me.
