The Magic of Harry Potter is Back on July 31st!

Nine years since the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Potterheads will be happy to hear that an eight book Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will be released this July 31, 2016 in time for Harry Potter's and J.K. Rowling's birthday. We all want to know what happened after the epilogue and admit it we do miss Harry Potter and the rest of the characters.

To celebrate the return of Harry Potter, Scholastic, Inc., National Book Store, and Pinoy Harry Potter [Hogwarts Philippines] will officially launch Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – Parts One & Two (Special Rehearsal Edition Script) on July 31, 2016 at National Book Store, Glorietta 1.

Come in your best robes [Muggle clothing will do, too, if you want to go incognito] and have fun with witches and wizards from PHP as we celebrate Harry Potter’s [and J.K.Rowlng’s] birthday and comeback. The official unboxing will happen at 7:01 am, while registration for the mid-day event starts at 10 am. And oh, did we say there will be cake and prizes?


The book will be available on July 31st but you can pre-order at the National Book Store til July 30 (bit.ly/NBSCursedChild). You can only avail of the 10% discount thru pre-order.

Special Rehearsal Edition Script

Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany, and Jack Thorne, a new play by Jack Thorne, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage.

The play will receive its world premiere in London's West End on July 30, 2016. 

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn't much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. 

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
