N.E.W. Conference unleashes the “Entrepreneur” in every Filipina
If you look
at history, the world has always been a matriarchal society. We put high value
in the women’s role in our society. In the past few decades, women have been taking
business into the new level. It is a new level where women are seen as an
entrepreneur and capable of building a business on her own.
This March
4, 2017, the Network for Enterprising Women (N.E.W.) unleashes the “Entrepreneur”
in every woman through the 10th Annual Women Entrepreneurs Conference to be
held at the New World Hotel, Makati City from 8:00AM to 12:00NN. Organized by
NEW, the annual conference is one of the most awaited activities of the
esteemed organization.
Driven by
its core mission to inspire every Filipina's entrepreneurial spirit, the
conference features prominent entrepreneurs and experts in the business whose
influence has grown tremendously in the Philippines. Last year, celebrated life
coach Francis Kong and Mary Grace Dimacali of Mary Grace were among its
speakers.
At the decade
milestone of the conference, NEW geared towards highlighting skills that many
entrepreneurs are keen on.
Finances and
its management for one, is among the many skills that entrepreneurs need to
master. Tess Dimaculangan of the Dimaculangan and Co., CPAs will focus on just
that. Its talk "Managing Your Finances" will enlighten participants
about the fundamentals of handling resources and how to apply it in real life.
This will sharpen an entrepreneur's knowledge and ability to make the right
financial decisions at the right time. Dimaculangan and Co., CPA's is one of
the leading accounting firms in the country.
Starting up
a business, however, is just as tricky as managing a progressive one. To
discuss the many "Challenges of Growing Your Business", mompreneur
Jean Uvero will discuss these challenges often faced by start-up companies. She
will tackle problems as well as opportunities that entrepreneurs to learn the
best approach on how to avoid making bad decisions and turn it into a success.
Although a nurse by profession, Uvero considers herself as an entrepreneur at
heart. Being the woman behind Grupo Uvero, Inc., her businesses ranges from
health & beauty, food and even auto care known as Nail It! Salon, and Agape
Pastries and Tartines, among others.
Now you have
a company that's operational with stable finances, another factor to consider
is how to allow your company to grow into the mind and heart of its target
market. To give confidence to current start-up owners, Miguel dela Rosa of
Giabella Foods Corporation will reveal the “Effective Marketing Strategies.” Dela
Rosa is an experienced marketer tracing back his experiences with top consumer
goods companies in the Philippines including San Miguel Food Corporation and
Jollibee Foods Corporation here and abroad. He also has experiences in handling
chains of coffee shops, hotels, restaurants and even print and digital
marketing companies including SumoSam Foods Inc., and Summit Media just to name
a few.
Every
starting entrepreneur has numerous goals of achieving rapid growth for their
business and recognition in their field; yet, success in the business world
doesn’t really happen overnight. There is no hard and fast rule in attaining
growth but there are ways one can do to ignite gradual and anticipated success.
