Flame’s The Hub Series Features Singapore’s Culinary Ambassador Violet Oon
Flame launches The Hub Series, a collection
of culinary experiences, beginning with a special cooking class by Violet Oon
on May 27, Sunday. The two-hour class will walk participants through three
beloved Singaporean dishes: Pepper Prawns, Lemon Grass Steamed Fish, and Chili
Crab.

Under the helm of Chef Luis Chikiamco, Flame
has recently restructured its entire menu to reflect more Asian influences. To
celebrate this latest edition of the restaurant’s cuisine, the Hub Series
brings the chefs out of the kitchen for intimate and engaging gatherings, from
cooking classes and demos, to wine and cocktail pairings.
To start off, Flame has invited Violet Oon,
herself an expert on Singapore’s Nyonya cuisine. An icon of Singapore’s
gastronomic heritage, Oon owns and runs a group of eponymous restaurants,
including the National Kitchen by Violet Oon at the National Gallery of
Singapore.
The Hub Series at Flame featuring Violet Oon
is a one-day only affair on May 27, Sunday, from 2:30 to 4:30 PM. Each seat is
available at a special price of Php 2,500 net. A 50% non-refundable down
