SM Jazz: Your Neighborhood Food Destination
In the recent years we’ve seen the rise of luxurious
urban living with all its leisure facilities. It has become increasingly
popular especially for many Filipinos who chose to live in convenience but with
style and comfort. Foremost in offering this kind of place is the SM
Development Corporation (SMDC).
SMDC, committed to provide access to affordable
yet luxurious urban living can now be found in several major cities in the
Metro with its 19 Residences which boasted five-star amenities and take note,
even a mall of their own. One such place is the SM Jazz housed inside its Jazz
Residence
Not only a Residence with commercial
establishment inside, SM Jazz is also becoming popular as your neighborhood
food destination what with its varied food establishments and its proximity and
accessibility to many who simply just love to eat out.
A few days ago, we had so much fun having dinner
at Ryu Ramen & Curry, eating cupcakes at J. Cuppacake and capping the night off at After All.
Ryu Ramen & Curry
Enjoy Japanese fare at Ryu Ramen
& Curry.
In the past I thought that Curry is mainly an
India food thing but I was enlightened by a Japanese friend that next to Ramen,
Japanese also love to eat Curry and I wholeheartedly agreed to their fine taste
as over the years I also come to love them.
It’s my first time dining at Ryu and imagine my
delight when they serve the ramen and one of them is the Ryu Ramen Curry which
is their specialty. It was quite delicious and definitely a must-try with its
fresh curry taste combine with chasu and other ingredients. Other ramen you can enjoy are the Chasu Ramen, Tantanmen and the Karaage Tantanmen.
Also a must-order is Gyoza (Pork Gyoza and
Chicken & Shrimp Gyoza), Menchi Katsu Set and the Ebi Katsu.
My personal favorites are the Agedashi Tofu (don’t
leave without ordering this), Tamanegi (a mix of fresh onion, squid and shrimps
that is light and crispy) and of course the Ryu Ramen Curry.
This is one of the best Japanese fare I’ve
enjoyed in quite a while.
After that sumptuous meal at Ryu, we stopped at J.Cuppacake where we have a cupcake feast and a sip of coffee!
With its instagrammable interior and exterior,
its truly a delight to spend sweet moments at this place while enjoying their coffee
and choose from an array of cupcakes to partner it with.
A must-try and personal favorites are the Salted
Caramel, Belgian Chocolate Dream, Neopolitan Vanilla Cupcake, and of course the
Red Velvet.
After All Bar and Grill
Unwind after spending
hours of daily work or after you finish shopping at After All.
After All Bar and Grill is owned by a
group of friends who thinks that you can also have fun even as you bond over
business. I’ve read in one of the blogs that the name After All is based on all
those years the owners have been through.
Stopping at After All Bar and Grill is a fitting end
to the day as we enjoyed its famous Crunchy Sisig, Buffalo Wings and Seafood
Salpicao. My favorite is the Glazed Balls
of Fire, a meatball with a kick and pairing it with the Mojito is simply great.
Beside the good food, After All also provide good music with its
live band in particular days.
After All is opened beyond mall hours and they close at 3am.
