Product Review: Top 7 Reasons Why I love using Avène Thermal Spring Water and why those with Eczema should use it
I’ve had skin allergies my whole life. Urticaria, eczema, Angioedema, skin asthma,
etc. It has been part of my life and to be honest I’ve learned to live with it.
I’m just thankful it doesn’t occur simultaneously or my life would be just
hell. I’ve been to many dermatologists and allergologist, and even herbalist.
While some of my skin diseases were healed some just become part of my life.
I’m one of the few who couldn’t use just any skin products (lotion, soap, make
up) or my skin would become reddish, blotchy, splotchy and itchy. I only have two or three trusted
brands and one of them is Avène Thermal Spring Water. Although it’s been years
since I last used one when a friend gave me several cans when she went to
Europe, I stop using when I can’t find any here in Manila.
A few days
ago, I received the Avene thermal water as a gift and I decided using
it again since it is now widely available in the market.
The Avène Thermal Spring Water is used in many
Avène distinctive range of skincare. A little bit of history, this particular
spring water was discovered in in a small village in the southern France in
1736. Due to its effectiveness, it was later declared to be of public benefit
in dermatology.
The Avène Thermal Spring Water is collected and
directed to the company’s production plant where the products are manufactured.
Avène has its own Hydrotherapy Centre where the water is used and tested to
treat atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, very sensitive, intolerant, and allergic
skin. Its unique mineral composition is constant, and this is what gives the
Avène Thermal Spring Water its soothing, softening and anti-irritating
properties.
The Avène Dermatological Laboratories have
developed safe and efficient products for a wide range of skin types and skin
conditions, suitable for the most sensitive skins.
Here are several reasons why I love using Avène
Thermal Spring Water and why those with Eczema should use it:
The mist coming from Avène Thermal Spring Water
provides soothing and anti-irritating benefits. It has low mineral content and
does not dry out the skin;
Avène Thermal Spring Water is pH-neutral,
hypoallergenic and preservative-free and well tested by dermatologists;
In my experience, a very humid day is hell on
my skin and I just love how a spray or two of Avène Thermal Spring Water provides a soothing and calming effect on my skin;
Using it again helps my eczema and now I can
start using my favorite BB Cream again as I use Avène Thermal Spring Water as a primer;
Whenever there is redness or roseaca in any part of my skin, a
spray of Avène Thermal Spring Water soothes
it away;
One good tip from me, I store my Avène Thermal Spring Water in the refrigerator and I love
how refreshing and cool my face is after spraying;
And lastly another tip. I’m
envious of those who regularly use facial mask, especially the ones made in
Korea. I used one before but my skin become so itchy and I was disheartened. A
friend gave me a tip recently and told me to buy a dry mask and just spray
Avene over it and it will have the same effect when using facial mask, behold
it was true! The very fine mist was absorbed by the mask.
Truly Avène Thermal Spring
Water is heaven sent. It is very ideal for dry, sensitive, oily, combo
or normal skin. It suits any skin type and you should carry one with you for
dry skin emergencies.
Avène
is available at Watsons and at department stores and malls.
