Be
prepared to be messy but in a good way as you enjoy Tex-Mex dishes served only at
El Guapo's located at Kapitolyo. They’ve been on soft opening since October 2016
but it was only last December 3, 2016 that they formally opened.
El
Guapo's is hard to be missed along Kapitolyo. With its bright and colorful façade,
it’s a welcoming sight for those who hungers for authentic Tex-Mex dishes. Luckily
we were there for an early dinner so we have the outside place to ourselves.
We
were warmly welcomed by Sir Carlo and immediately we were seated and served
with drinks and foods to our delight.
For
starters we had the Taquitos and Dynamite which
is triangular in shape. Served with their own dip, the combination of crunch
and spice makes you want to eat more. That time our drink Frozen Margarita
already arrived and its smooth and tangy flavor complement with the appetizers.
We know they serve it big in Texas and it seems El Guapo's believe in that adage as they served us the
Monster Taco, all ten inches of pure and delicious Taco. Same goes with The
Alamo, a five burger patties oozing with cheese sauce which is served open-face.
I wonder why we have plastic gloves but we used it as we began eating the
Monster Taco with hands.
The plastic glove served its purpose further when the Bareback
Ribs is served. I love how tender it is and the way it was marinated in lime
and spices gives off full flavor.
When the Chimichanga,
(deep-fried burrito topped with red sauce) Burritto, Big Bird (breaded chicken filet) and
the Chicken wings served in three
flavors of Buffalo sauce, honey dipped and cheese flavored arrived, I know it’s
time to call for another drink and this time I ordered their Macho Mojito
Carafe.
It was a good night filled with the most delicious Tex-Mex
dinner and good conversation and El Guapo's is the right place for it.
