Huawei Launches Pocket Wifi; #HotspotHotties Seen Roaming the Mall of Asia

by - December 15, 2015

The term hotties always sparks an interest in me. But wait, are they really hotties as in my definition of Hotties? Last Sunday at the SM Mall of Asia, I saw people taking pictures of those hot guys in red pants and white shirts, definitely a hottie. I decided to follow them when I saw two more lining up at Burger King. I asked myself who are these foreign guys who's shirt is urging me to follow them. And follow them I did and they led me to Cyberzone event center.

In the mini stage, I saw the latest from Huawei and its new line of pocket Wifi devices. Lately Wifi services from other network greatly disappoint me, I need a faster service and one that is reliable anytime, anywhere. I learned why the #HotspotHotties were roamng SM Mall of Asia.

After the mini Fashion Show which delighted me as I feast myself on those #HotspotHotties, Mr. Charles Wu country manager of Huawei’s consumer business group says that “the #HuaweiHotspotHotties characterize the sleek and elegant look of our new WiFi devices that are guaranteed to make heads turn for a second look."  With its refined and stunning appearance, "Huawei’s new connectivity devices also delivers fast uninterrupted 3G and LTE connectivity wherever you go," he added.

The mini event was held to educate customers of the wonder of the Huawei poket wifi devices. And also give chance to the mall goers to win one if they "spotted" a hottie and upload it to their social media.

“Always on” mentality

With the continued growth and increase in the number of mobile devices being used to access the internet, Filipinos have developed this “always on” mentality or that need to be always connected.

According to a study called Wave7, Filipinos have been using social media platforms 53 hours a week—11 hours more than the total global usage. Thus it comes as no surprise that from being the text messaging capital of the world, the Philippines has now become the social media capital of the world.

“Whether it’s to keep in touch with friends and family, share new experiences or meet new people, we are always looking for the best way to connect to the internet,” notes Jose Vega, Sales and Marketing Director, Huawei Device Philippines.

“One of the first things people ask about as soon as they arrive at their destination-- whether its a hotel, a restaurant or even at a friend’s house is for the Wi-Fi password, but since not all venues could handle the number of people connecting to their routers, internet connection can be very slow-- that is if you can even connect in the first place.  That is why having your own Pocket WiFi device remains the best and most convenient solution especially if you are travelling with your family or friends and need to connect several devices at a time,” he added.

“When you get a Huawei WiFi, you don’t have to ask for passwords anymore because you instantly become the hotspot everyone would be searching for instead.”
