Daiso Japan Opens its 60th store at UP Town Center

by - April 08, 2017

It started as a “100 yen” store in Japan on 1972 and many years and many countries later, Daiso still provides enjoyment to its customers with its array of quality and unique products. I have been a Daiso fan since I first entered their store in 2009 out of curiosity and bought their products peg at a certain price.

This 2017, after eight years since they first opened, Daiso PH opened their 60th store located at U.P. Town Center. The popularity of Japanese shopping in the country is a proven fact that Filipinos have been Daisofying their life with its affordable and high-quality Japanese-inspired office and home items.

What differentiate its new store from others is that it was designed as a reminiscent of its stores in Japan. Some of the design elements include polished stainless, laminate and metal decking floor pattern that brings to life a sleek and industrial interior.

Daiso Japan General Manager Ms. Katherine Yu proudly said that “the new store concept for Daiso Japan allows our products to take front and center, bringing it more closely to its Filipino customers.” She added, “The new store design is in line with the mantra of the brand to provide quality, variety and uniqueness in our product line.”

During the opening last March 31, I notice how Daiso Japan UP Town Center store is more bright, airy and streamlined for easy maneuver as you explore the store with its new and exciting interior and find new and old favorites items from office knick-knacks, home and kitchen ornaments, beauty essentials, and practical but curious merchandise. Ms. Bernice Jayne Caioa-Bunoan, the Marketing Manager of Daiso Japan in the country also encouraged everyone to visit the store every month as new items straight from Japan will be featured at all stores nationwide.

Many activities were in store for its loyal customers and media guests at the store opening. A flash sale, that went on from 11 am to 12 noon, where items were sold for P60, 160 and 260 only. Never mind the long lines but each customer was happy with their finds. There is also fun activities and treats such as free ice cream for everyone.

For the media guests, they were treated to a journaling session lead by watercolor junkie and journaling expert Cienne Olaes, were they made use of the materials readily available at all Daiso Japan stores nationwide.
