Sun Life Aquathlon on September 17, 2017. Registration On Going

Millions of Filipinos especially millennials are investing in their health and future nowadays thus majority of them are taking a more active role in having a healthy lifestyle. Moreover, they are also concerned with their future and the status of their financial preparedness. Realizing these endeavour, Sun Life Philippines, known for encouraging it’s customers to in promoting health and wellness is taking part to heighten Pinoy’s growing interest in multisport competition. As such Sun Life Philippines is hosting its first ever Sun Life Aquathlon on September 17, 2017.


“Our mission is to help Filipinos achieved lifetime financial security and live healthier lives. While we believe that one of the keys to a brighter life is financial security, we also know that we can enjoy his life better if he is in the best of health,” said Sun Life Chief Marketing Officer Mylene Lopa. “Through Sun Life Aquathlon, we can help budding athletes boost their fitness ourney and also inspire others to discover the physical activity that works best for them.”


The Sun Life Aquathlon is designed to be the perfect race for the newbies who wishes to ger his/her feet wet in multisports, while its gives the race-honed triathlete a variation in their training program.


There will be two categories for this race – the Aqua Full features a 400-meter swim and a 5-km run and the Aqua Lite is consist of a 200-meter swim and a 3-km run.

The race will kick off at the Makati Aqua Sports Arena  where the aquathletes will start with a swim in the 50-meter long pool before heading to a transition area to don their running gear. They will then go up to the overpass located along JP Rizal to reach the University of Makati where they will then complete the race in the UMAK race track until they reach the finish line.


Registration for the Sun Life Aquathlon opened as early as June 1, 2017 and will last until August 15, 2017 or until slots are filled up. Organized by one of the country’s trusted and leading multisports event organizers, Bike King Philippines, the Sun Life Aquathlon will give participants in the Aqua Full category to earn points for Bike King annual campaign, Multi Sport Athlete of the Year.

City Garden Grand Hotel Holds 2nd GRAND Skills Competition

Today, students from the Far Eastern University, National University, Philippine Women University, Lyceum and the University of Sto. Tomas got together for City Garden Grand Hotel’s 2nd GRAND Skills Competition.


For the second time City Garden Grand Hotel hold the competition where the top 5 schools competed for the chance to be the best in the following categories: Table set up with Centerpieces, Food Art, Bartending/Cocktail Mixing, and Gourmet Student Meals.






For six hours, students took the time to set up tables with their own theme and menu, prepared gourmet meals, food art and concoct drinks. Then it was time for the judges to pick the best among the best. Judges includes Chef Miko Aspiras, Jill Meneses, Chef Dennis Peralta, Jason Hussein Ali, Jordan Tan.
