The Academy of Pastry & Bakery Arts Philippines Celebrates 2nd Anniversary

In just two years, the Academy of Pastry & Bakery Arts Philippines has become the most professional Pastry and Bakery School in the Philippines. It is a premier institute which offers a unique opportunity to learn the Art of Pastry & Bakery. Last August 5, 2017 they celebrated its two years of existence in the country with a grand cocktail party where guests enjoyed a sumptuous dinner with great food and awesome selection of desserts.


The celebration was headed by Executive Chef Christian Heidenreich and Executive Pastry Chef Nklesh Sharma. During the program, recognitions were also given to several of its students and several of the teachers were presented to the guests. We were also given the tour of the academy and were delighted with the cakes and pastries baked by the students.










The Academy of Pastry & Bakery Arts Philippines’ founding school, the " Academy of Pastry Arts Malaysia " has been given awards in the past such as the Best Pastry School in Region Awarded by " World Gourmet Summit 2015" Award Excellence, numerous Awards for the lecturers where the most recent is a 1st and 5th place at the Top of Patissier of Asia 2017 Competition in Shanghai.


The Academy of Pastry & Bakery Arts Philippines’ local Teachers are supported by visiting Guest Chefs from the Academy in Malaysia as well as World-Class Pastry Chefs and Bakers and Artists who visit and conduct Master Classes, Demonstrations, Hands-on Workshops and Presentations.

For its program the Academy of Pastry Arts Group will be offering following:

6-9 Month Full Time Diploma Program in Pastry & Bakery
3 month Certificate in Pastry & Bakery
Part Time Program over 12 Weekends in Pastry & Bakery
Intensive 24 days Pastry and Bakery Program
Master Classes for Pastry Chefs, Pastry Teachers and Pastry Graduate Students

Full Time Program: Monday – Friday 9 am - 5 pm

12 Weekends Part-Time Program: Sat – Sun 9 am - 5 pm

City Garden Grand Hotel Holds 2nd GRAND Skills Competition

Today, students from the Far Eastern University, National University, Philippine Women University, Lyceum and the University of Sto. Tomas got together for City Garden Grand Hotel’s 2nd GRAND Skills Competition.


For the second time City Garden Grand Hotel hold the competition where the top 5 schools competed for the chance to be the best in the following categories: Table set up with Centerpieces, Food Art, Bartending/Cocktail Mixing, and Gourmet Student Meals.






For six hours, students took the time to set up tables with their own theme and menu, prepared gourmet meals, food art and concoct drinks. Then it was time for the judges to pick the best among the best. Judges includes Chef Miko Aspiras, Jill Meneses, Chef Dennis Peralta, Jason Hussein Ali, Jordan Tan.
