Rotary International District 3830 Launches A Kitchen on Wheels project Dubbed as The Tummy Truck

The Rotary District is known for its worthwhile projects all over the world. Here in the Philippines, the Rotary District, in particular the Rotary International District 3830 recently launched its newest advocacy.


Duubed as the Tummy Truck, it is a soup kitchen vehicle that can be used onsite to cook and dispense food for disaster victims and families. The RID 3830 through the District Disaster Management) (DDMD) has been commissioned to handle disaster relief operations for the Rotary Year 2016-2017 and the succeeding Rotary years.


With the Tummy Truck, Governor Edna Sutter envisioned this flagship project that will also be commissioned for feeding progrmas of the various club’s projects. It is a fully-equipped bus with kitchenette, serving countersand toilets. Its primary use is to provide warm and filling meals during relief operation.



During the blessings and formal launched of the Tummy Truck, the Rotarians and DDMD committee along with other groups, acknolwledge the generosity of the Victory Liner Inc, for genereously donating a bus which was then converted into a soup kitchen vehicle. After the blessings, students from the Makati Elementary School partake of the food prepared by Chef. Nick Pelaez. Christmas gift giving followed.




Host Roatray Clubs who participated in this worthwhile “A Kitchen on Wheels Project” are from Makati Cristo Rey, Makati Jose P Rizal, Makati Poblacion, Paranaque, Metropolitan Pateros, Rizal West, Narra Bonifacio Global City, Makati Paseo, Makati Olympia, Paranaque Poblacion, Paranaque South, Paranaque BF Homes, Makati Jupiter and Sunvalley.
